Service Project Update II

Well, I thought I would be working with different students on the lifecylce of frogs. I guess not. I was added on the ECDC list with two different students. Although, I don't mind at all, because I actually got something accomplished this afternoon.

Oh my gosh I am so excited! Sarah emailed me and asked me to help her with the voicethread part of the project and I said okay. Well, I had never done a voice thread or even messed with it. After about two days of trial and error, IT WORKED!! The first day it took me about two hours to finally get the ppt onto voicethread. It was frustrating but I got it. The second day Sarah couldn't edit the voicethread to add comments. I played around with it for a while and I put some of my own comments of my own and figured out how to get her to add her comments as well.

We were both so excited. She emailed me the PPT of Santiago and Kevin. Their project is on butterflies and moths. I couldn't figure out how to get the slides on the voicethread at first, then I had to edit the slides because I had just named them slide 1, slide 2, etc. I had to save the PPT in a file. I have no idea how I did it but it's done and it feels wonderful. Now she is going to put the boys voices on there tomorrow. I felt as if I wasn't contributing at all to this project but now I feel that I have. It's almost over.
