YES!! In many ways. Teachers can keep up with what animal students are researching on a spreadsheet. Teachers can also keep up with money students have turned in and who hasn't turned in money for a field trip.
Can students use spreadsheets in science? Most definitely. You can save and sort all sorts of information.

2. Can students insert a graph or chart onto a spreadsheet?

Yes! Students could research how many eggs or live births certain animals have and put this information onto a chart or graph.

3. We could ask students to research these questions and also answer them on a spreadsheet:

What different kinds of frogs are there? (Name six)
Where do these certain frogs live?
What do these certain frogs eat?
How big or small are these frogs?
